The Millennium stadium was the venue for the first official event to begin the process of debate, engagement and involvement in the shaping of the planned Sustainable Development Bill.
The Sustainable Development Bill now forms a central part of the programme of government of the new administration, requiring legislation to make sustainable development the central organising principle of Welsh Government and public bodies in Wales and to create an independent sustainable development body for Wales.
In my blog I consider some of the critical issues in shaping not just the Bill but the changes that will need to accompany the legislation if we are going to make the step change required by having sustainable development as the central organising principle of Government.
