What do Consumers Want from Organic?
What do Consumers Want from Organic?

Organic Centre Wales is inviting interested companies to tender for writing a report on consumer attitudes to organic produce.

The report is being prepared as part of the Better Organic Business Links (BOBL) project to research the attitudes of consumers to organic food and other products, and track any changes as a result of the financial crisis and recession.

Dafydd Owen, Project Manager said: ‘We know that many consumers are committed to organic food and clearly can see the benefits, but the market has changed over the last 18 months.

‘The issues embedded in organic production are complex and encompass far more than food quality alone. We want to make sure that more of the benefits of organic production are understood, and how they fit with interests in animal welfare, local food and ethical trading.’

If anyone is interested in tendering for the work they should contact Dafydd Owen on 01970 622953, odo@aber.ac.uk.
