Join the National Trust Council

The National Trust stands for places, for ever, for everyone. It looks after a breathtaking number and variety of them – from historic houses and gardens, to spectacular coastline and countryside.

Today, it has some 3.8 million members, and welcomes over 50 million visitors every year. As it grow as a charity, as its role in society evolves, it’s vital
that it remains true to its founding principles and statutory responsibilities. That’s the job of the Council. As guardian of the spirit of the National Trust, its main responsibilities are to ensure accountability, shape policy development and inspire support.

As an elected member of the Council, you’ll make sure that it does just that. Initially, the position is for three years, with the potential for the term to be renewed twice. While it’s voluntary, the National Trust will pay your expenses.

Visit www.nationaltrust.org.uk/gov-vacancies or call 01793 817988. Closing date: 26 March.
