Big Energy Week

10:30am - 10:30am
16 January - 21 January 2012

Rising fuel bills are stretching household finances and people are looking for ways to save money on their energy bills.

To help consumers spend less on heating their home Citizens Advice is coordinating an advice campaign called Big Energy Week which will see thousands of people across the country get practical help and advice to cut their fuel bills and get all the financial support they are entitled to.

Citizens Advice Cymru will be launching the week in Wales at 10.30am on the 16th of January in the St David’s shopping centre, Cardiff. The Minister for Environment and Sustainable Development, John Griffiths will be opening our Energy Advice centre that will be open for three days so please put this in your diary.

To help reach as many people as possible, bureaux in Wales will be supporting Big Energy Week by coordinating community events during the week in shopping centres and other busy public venue with high levels of footfall to raise awareness of the support available for people struggling to cope with rising fuel bills.

Staff and volunteers will also be letting clients who come to the bureaux know that it is Big Energy Week and will advise them as to where they can get more information on how to save money on their fuel bills and maximise their income.
