Eco Worriers - An End of the Road Movie

As development officer for Cynnal Cymru-Sustain Wales, I have met a number of community based organisations trying to develop a more sustainable way of living in some of the most economically deprived areas of Wales. Whenever I meet new people I always ask them what they think is the best way of engaging people on sustainable development issues. The answer I get is always the same; “show people like us doing it… and make it funny!”

Give Us Your Small Change

Throughout the summer months we were helping people find out more about sustainable living and encouraging them to make a pledge to tackle climate change with our campaign, 'Give us your small change'.

The campaign began with a competition, which asked people to pledge, in writing or drawing, what they’d do to tackle climate change. The competition was launched by S4C's weather team and pupils from Cwm Glo Cwm Gwyrdd at our sustainable house at the National Eisteddfod 2-9 August 2008.
