Eisteddfod 2010
In August we took our photographic exhibition of Welsh Green Heroes to the National Eisteddfod at Blaenau Gwent.
The exhibition proved to be a popular draw with Eisteddfod-goers, many of whom called in on their way around the Maes to see the photographs.

We also held our 'Give Us Your Small Change' competition, and had many people on the stand keen to pledge to make a small change in their lives to help the planet. Here are some of them:

Eisteddfod 2009
In 2009 we took our sustainable home to the Eisteddfod in Bala, Gwynedd. The stand, full of tips to help people live more sustainably, was decorated with recycled furniture and featured ethically-traded goods, fair-trade drinks and cereals, and natural cleaners.

We had a programme of rolling workshops, which meant that people could call in whenever they chose for a chat and a cuppa. The workshops were based on tips for helping people to live more sustainably at home – with advice on darning and mending clothes, home composting, how to plan a campaign among others.
During the Eisteddfod at Bala we also ran our competition, ‘Give Us Your Small Change,’ where we asked people to make a pledge to help tackle climate change. Carrie John’s pledge impressed the judges, resulting in her winning the Welsh Black Rocking Ram kindly donated by the Rocking Sheep Company.

Eisteddfod 2008
Cynnal Cymru - Sustain Wales were at their sustainable house at the National Eisteddfod showing people just how easy it is to create a sustainable lifestyle, with green and ethical tips. Thanks to support from the Welsh Assembly Government, Ecotricity, Draig Technology, Ecover, Innocent Smoothies and a whole host of other sponsors the stand looked just like a home - complete with a back garden!
Built from FSC plywood, it demonstrated features such as insulation and inside was full of inspiring ideas to help people make sustainable lifestyle choices, from fair trade and organic to energy and waste saving ideas.
The competition, 'Give Us Your Small Change', was launched during the Eisteddfod, and one lucky winner won a year's supply of green energy. Along with guests for tea, music, Q&A and practical workshops, there was always plenty to get involved with no need to book in advance.
