A truly unique opportunity has arisen within Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales, for an Executive Director to join an established team based in Cardiff Bay.

Cynnal Cymru are the sustainable development experts of Wales. Our purpose is to engage, exemplify, enable and encourage sustainable development to be at the heart of decision-making in Wales (and beyond). In 2012, Cynnal Cymru won a substantial three year contract from the Welsh Government to deliver ‘External Support for Sustainable Development in Wales’.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated, hands-on individual who can lead Cynnal Cymru from the front, deliver this three year contract to tight deadlines and seek to win new business for the future.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of the delivery of a diverse range of programmes and of successful new business development. You will possess an excellent understanding of sustainable development. Given the contribution of language and culture to SD, it is desirable (but not essential) that you are a compelling bilingual communicator.

You will also have significant and recent successful management experience at executive or senior level in the private, public, or third sector.
